Spoken Word

Spoken Word can be given many definitions. As an art form, it begins with traditional poetry technique, from the haiku to persona poems, and incorporates many other disciplines such as theatre and music, yet it can be composed without creative restrictions or prerequisites. Spoken Word Poetry is further defined by the individual through his or her creative license, style, and delivery. Spoken Word is an audible, poetic reflection of everyday life, or “life out loud."
